Tropical Storm Marie opened a sinkhole on Malibu's Sea Level Drive, leading to a local emergency, five red-tagged homes, and evacuations affecting roughly 30 homes. LAist (Sept. 9, 2026) reports that flooding in Long Beach also closed part of its boardwalk.
